High in the North of India amidst lush forest there is a cave where resides the holy shrine of Mata Vaishno. Devotees from all over the world desire for Vaishno devi darshan at least once in a life time.

The shrine of Vaishno devi is on the sacred cave of Trikuta hill in the state Jammu and Kashmir. The yatra for the darshan of Vaishno Devi begins at Katra which is 50 km from Jammu. It is Katra which is the base camp for the darshan of Mata. Devotees starts their yatra at Katra and covers 13 km climb on foot to reach the holy shrine.

There is a common belief that Goddess -Vaishno sends a 'Call' to her devotees and once they receive where ever they are, marches towards the holy shrine of the Goddess. Though the ascent is little bit difficult but a super natural power pulls the devotees and they climb so easily chanting the name of Goddess, Jai Mata di. After 13 km of exciting climbing devotees reach on the door of the cave and stand in queue for the darshan.

The cave is 30 meter long and height is one and a half meter. At the end of the cave there are three pindies devoted to three forms of goddess mother - Mahakali, Mahalakshmi and Mahasarasvati. People with extreme devotion enter in small group through a narrow rout for Vaishno devi darshan.

Contented souls sits in peace after the darshan of Mata. The joy, excitement one feels ofter the darshan has no comparison. It is a feeling of winning something. People also visit vairo mandir and Ardh Kumari after the darshan of the Vaishno devi.

To reach Vairo Devi Temple Mandir it needs one to two km climbing while Ardhkumari in between Katra and Vaishno Devi temple. Some pilgrims have the darshan of all three temples while some return after vaishno devi darshan.
