Gangotri Temple
Gangotri Temple was built in 18th century by Gorkha General Amar Singh Thapa. It is constructed on the spot where the Goddess Ganga is believed to have first descended on earth from heaven. The main attraction within the temple is 'Jalamagna Shivalainga' a natural Shivalinga formed from rock. Every year thousand of pilgrims make a visit to this holy temple to wash away their sins.

Cheedvasa and Bhojvasa
Cheedvasa, tucked at a distance of 28 km is beautiful place, blessed with immense scenic charm. Serene ambiance enchants the mind and soul of the visitors. Another place of attraction is Bhojvasa, situated at a distance of 22 km from Gangotri. Mesmerizing natural beauty makes the place a favorable camping site.

Gomukh Glaciers
Perched at an altitude of 4200 m above the sea level, Gomukh Glaciers are worth visiting. It is the geographical origin of pristine river Ganges and is also referred as Bhagirathi.

Nandanvan
Nandanvan is a trekking route along the glacier. The panoramic view of snow clad mountains and lush green areas of Sylvan Tapovan encircling the base of Shivalinga peak mesmerizes the visitors.
