SAARC Tourism
On December 8 1985, an association named SAARC was introduced for the social, technological and economic development of the South Asian countries. For further innovative ideas, the heads of these countries decided to meet once every year and the meeting was named Saarc summit.
Coined as South Asian Association For Regional Cooperation this group consisted of South Asian countries like India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, Afghanistan and Maldives as the Saarc nations. Further this group also started working on the development of these countries as the prominent travel destinations.
