India Budget

Amidst signs of economic recovery around the globe, India is about to unveil one of the most important and much anticipated Budgets in July, 2009.

The dates are out:

Rail Budget- July 3, 2009
Union Budget- July 6, 2009






The Rail Budget would be presented by the Railway Minister, Ms Mamta Banerjee and the mantle to unveil the Union Budget would go into the hands of the veteran politician and Finance Minister of India, Sh. Pranab Mukherjee.

There are huge expectations this time around with the budget when the middle class reeling under the burden of heavy taxes expects some respite in the tax structure. Also, the corporate India expects good policies which would spearhead the growth in some of the industries majorly impacted by the global recession. It would have to be a good balancing act by the respective ministries to ensure that the economy of India gets the much needed push forward towards economic development.

Let's hope that Budget exercise turns out to be fruitful and takes into consideration all the expectations of the common man as well as corporate India.
